3 Causes of AdSense Banned Blogs

For AdSense account owners it is fitting to read, understand and comply with Google AdSense program policies so that their blogs and AdSensense accounts are safe from being banned.

But sometimes either because of inaccurate or what many bloggers who do actions violate Google AdSense program policies so that the blog or site is banned.

It's still fortunate that only his blog is banned, if his account is banned, it's over ...

There are at least 3 types of violations that most often occur.

1. Wrong Label Ad

The first violation was due to an error in labeling the ad. Ad label is the ad title that is usually placed above the ad.

For example like this:

Allowed Ad Text

Google AdSense only allows to use labels / titles with the words "Ads" and "Sponsored Links". Besides these labels are not permitted, especially labels that can mislead visitors, for example, telling visitors to click on ads. "Click This Ad"

This violation can also occur due to accidental. For example, my friend put an ad near a post that resembles the title.

To avoid this violation:

Make sure to only use the "Advertising" and "Sponsored Links" labels
Or it's better not to put ad labels at all
Do not place ads near writing that resembles the title.

2. Overlapping Advertisements and Content

The second violation is due to overlapping ads and content.

This violation occurs because the ads installed are covered by content or vice versa, the content is covered by advertisements.

For example like this:

Content Covered Ad

From the banned case that I experienced the violation occurred because the ad appeared above the post, while the post was very short. By AdSense these ads are considered to cover the content.

To avoid this violation:

Avoid placing ads under the dropdown navigation menu

  • Do not place ads close to other ads
  • Don't use floating widgets
  • Do not place ads above the content if there is little content

3. Ads Installed on Search Pages

Actually there is no prohibition on placing ads on search pages, but placing ads on search pages indirectly can cause violations.

Such violations usually occur because of the act of visitors who are idly entering inappropriate keywords in the search form.

For example, visitors type the keyword "adult stories" in the search form, usually these keywords will appear in the URL and also on the search page.

Now if the URL and search page are detected by Google AdSense it will be considered a violation.
